Dr Andrew Owen presented the results of a proof of concept study to assess the impact of the G516T polymorphism on CYP2B6 expression within lymphocytes. Philip Martin, a PhD student, evaluated the induction of disposition genes (CYP3A4, CYP3A5, CYP3A7, CYP2B6, MDR1, MRP1, MRP2, PXR, FXR and CAR) by rifampicin in Caco-2 (intestinal) and HepG2 (hepatic) cell lines.
